Food Service

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has again extended free school meals for all students through the 2025-2026 school year! This means that breakfast and lunch will continue to be served at no cost to all students.

We are excited to share that our school will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) starting this school year. This means all students will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income.

You will no longer need to fill out a free or reduced-price meal application. However, we may ask you to complete a short household income form to help the district access important education funding.

We are proud to offer healthy meals for every student, every day, and hope this change makes things easier for your family.

Please note: If your child would like to purchase additional meals or healthy snacks, these items are not covered under Universal Free Meals. Students must have cash in hand or available funds in their “Family Portal” lunch account, as charging is not allowed per district policy. If your child wishes to purchase milk only without a school meal, the cost is $0.75 per pint. You may access our Rockport Family Portal at: https://Rockport.familyportal.cloud. Here you may add funds, check in on your child's purchases, or set purchase limits for your child. You will need your child's date of birth and their student identification number to create an account. Please get in touch with my office for any needed information on account access([email protected])

Thank you for helping us keep our meal program running smoothly and ensuring all students have a great dining experience!

In addition, please consider applying for SNAP, the federal nutrition program that provides eligible residents with monthly financial assistance to purchase groceries. More SNAP information can be found at getsnap.org 1-877-382-2363 or by calling Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline at 1-800-645-8333. The Food and Nutrition Department at Rockport Public Schools.

As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to provide nourishing and healthy meals to all Rockport students. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns at 978-546-1243 or via email at [email protected]
